Invictus
William Ernest Henley. 1849–1903
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
Put Something In
by Shel Silverstein
Draw a crazy picture,
Write a nutty poem,
Sing a mumble-grumble song,
Whistle through your comb.
Do a loony-goony dance
'Cross the kitchen floor,
Put something silly in the world
That ain't been there before.
assignment:
Using the above poems and Dreamweaver design two pages (640 x 480) to creatively express the content and meaning of Invictus by William Ernest Henley and Put Something In by Shel Silverstein.
I do not want to see plain, black text on a white page. There should be a background color or pattern and a color for your text. Try out different web-safe fonts. Consider alignment. Try different sizes. Try different font colors. You may include images. Must be readable. Upload your assignment to your web folder by class time on Monday - if you need help with this ask Robert or Anne. Thanks for your help Robert and Anne.

MID-TERM REVIEW
Ignore the questions on the first page but the rest of the info is decent and will surely cover things I missed or emphasize things we covered. http://library.albany.edu/imc/webdesign/
